About Heather Jaeger

Hello and Welcome to Gone to the Dogs!

With 24 years of experience in pet care, I take great pride in providing exceptional service and dedication to your furry friends. My journey with animals started with an equestrian background, so caring for larger dogs is never a problem. I am a full-time pet sitter and will be home most of the day, ensuring your pets receive constant care and attention. Weather permitting, we will spend as much time as possible outside playing. When not outside, we'll be inside playing or relaxing. I understand the importance of safety, happiness, and well-being for your pets and strive to offer the best care possible. Whether it’s through tailored care plans, daily updates, or prompt communication, I am committed to ensuring your pets feel loved and secure while they are with me. Thank you for trusting Gone to the Dogs with your beloved companions!

Safety, Trust, and Environment

  • I live in a house with a spacious, fenced yard where your pets can play outdoors safely and freely. In addition, there is 1200 square feet of climate-controlled kennels and indoor play space, safeguarding a comfortable environment for your pets. Our home is a non-smoking environment, ensuring a clean and healthy space for your furry friends. With no children present, your dogs can enjoy a calm and focused atmosphere. I have two dogs of my own who love making new friends. Here, dogs are allowed on both the bed and furniture, making it a cozy and welcoming environment. Potty breaks are provided every 0-2 hours, ensuring your pet's comfort and well-being throughout their stay.

  • My skills include administering oral and injected medications, providing first aid and CPR, and catering to senior and special needs dogs. I create personalized care plans to ensure daily exercise and tailored activities for each dog’s unique needs. At Gone to the Dogs, your pet's safety, happiness, and well-being are my top priorities.

  • I require up-to-date vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP), as well as proof of flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. I would love to know about any specific needs your pet has, such as injuries, illnesses, behavioral concerns, known allergies, and routines. I feed my own dog a raw diet, so I am comfortable feeding your dog a raw or any other specific diet. I do not have any breed preferences. Please pack a bit of extra food in case your pup needs a few extra calories or if there is a delay in your return. If it becomes necessary for me to pick up additional food because your dog is running out, you will be charged a $30 fee (for gas and time) plus the cost of the food.

  • With 215 repeat pet parents and a 100% response rate, I am dedicated to providing exceptional pet care that keeps both pets and their owners happy. I typically respond to inquiries within a few minutes, ensuring prompt communication and peace of mind. Every booking includes photo updates, so you can see your pet's activities and well-being in real time. Additionally, I send detailed updates, keeping you informed about your pet's day and ensuring you never miss a moment.

  • It's important to give the same level of love, attention, and care to every animal as though it were my own. However, each dog has it's own individual needs, I am able to cater to whatever each dog's needs will be.
